چکیده

Abstract Solid–liquid composites (SLCs) with novel thermal/electronic/mechanical properties imparted by programmable and functional liquid inclusions have attracted considerable research interest in recent years, are widely used smart electronics soft robotics. The feasible application of SLCs requires that they exhibit excellent static physical as well dynamic impact resistance to satisfy complex service conditions, such drops impacts. This paper examined the fabricated using microfluidic 3D printing. results split-Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) tests showed performance improved terms energy dissipation compared pristine materials. In case strain rates ranging from 100 $$400\,\hbox {s}^{-1}$$ 400 s - 1 , SLC specimen deformed without fracture, its was dominated viscosity inclusions. For 500 $$800\,\hbox 800 fractured determined volume fraction Thus, could be tuned regulating requirements protection against different rates. Furthermore, process fracture under SHPB recorded analyzed a high-speed camera. distributed changed paths crack propagation enhance SLCs. study experimentally verified enhancement SLCs, provided design strategies for developing multifunctional high resistance.

the impact resistance of fiber-reinforced polymer composites: a review

fiber reinforced composites are widely used instead of traditional materials in various technological applications. therefore, by considering the extensive applications of these materials, a proper knowledge of their impact behavior (from low- to high-velocity) as well as their static behavior is necessary. in order to study the effects of strain rates on the behavior of these materials, specia...

Synthesis, and Investigation of Swelling Behavior Natural Based Superabsorbent Composites with High Thermal Resistance

In the present paper, attention is paid to synthesis and investigation swelling behavior of a superabsorbent hydrogel composite based on Pectin (Pec) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) in the presence Kaolin powder. The physical mixture of Pec, Kaolin and PAN were hydrolyzed by NaOH solution to yield H-Pec-poly (sodium acrylate-co-acrylamide)/Kaolin superabsorbent hydrogel composite. A proposed mechan...

Bio-inspired impact-resistant composites.

Through evolutionary processes, biological composites have been optimized to fulfil specific functions. This optimization is exemplified in the mineralized dactyl club of the smashing predator stomatopod (specifically, Odontodactylus scyllarus). This crustacean's club has been designed to withstand the thousands of high-velocity blows that it delivers to its prey. The endocuticle of this multir...

Notch Sensitivity of Ceramic Composites with Rising Fracture Resistance

A theoretical framework is developed for the notched strength of ceramic composites that exhibit rising fracture resistance. It is based on established concepts of crack stability under stress-controlled loadings. On using a linear representation of the resistance curve (expressed in terms of an energy release rate), straightforward analytical solutions are obtained for the strength as well the...
